Malaysian operator DiGi has signed up China’s ZTE to build a “unified mobile network that will provide DiGi with a fully transformed 2G/3G/4G network starting third quarter this year.” ZTE said in statement that the new network will be immediately capable of delivering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 42Mb/s using HSPA+ and “thereafter up to four times faster when LTE spectrum becomes available.”
