Orange Dominicana has launched its LTE network in the Dominican Republic following a US$150 million network investment. The upgraded network will provide faster mobile internet services and is the first LTE network to go live in the Dominican Republic – and one of the first in Latin America. According to Wireless Intelligence, Orange Dominicana has 3.2 million subscribers giving it a market share of just under 35 percent. France Telecom-owned Orange has also rolled out LTE in Mauritius and Marseille in the south of France.
