LIVE FROM DTW 2024, COPENHAGEN: Members of the Global Telco AI Alliance fleshed out details of a JV focussed on developing large language models for telecoms, which is nearing launch.

The European Commission opened an in-depth investigation into UAE-based operator e&’s proposed acquisition of a controlling stake in PPF Group’s telecoms assets across a number of countries, under foreign subsidy rules introduced in 2023.

UAE-based e& is reportedly exploring an acquisition of European telecoms and media business United Group in a potential €8 billion deal, as part of its strategy to target opportunities outside its home market.
