Italy-based content company Buongiorno announced the launch of an operator billing service for Android developers, which works across WiFi as well as mobile networks.

The update to its Cashlog mobile payment system enables developers to bill for in-app content with one-click, without the need for users to leave the app or input personal details.

It said that the supporting Software Development Kit is “unique” in that its automatic number recognition – which enables one-click buying – works for any SIM-based device not only through the 3G network, but also via WiFi.

This was described as a “competitive advantage” for Cashlog.

The Android launch is said to follow a “positive experience” following the debut of a system for in-app purchases for HTML5 earlier this year.
