An Apple lawyer has said the company will offer buyers of its new iPad in Australia a refund following a threat by the country’s competition body to take legal action regarding 4G connectivity claims for the device, Reuters reports. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said it was planning to take legal action against Apple regarding its claim that its new iPad supports 4G services in the country. Apple has also promised to post warnings that the latest version of its tablet device is not compatible with the current 4G LTE and WiMAX networks found in Australia.
