Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs this week said that around a million people have signed up to its ailing MediaFlo mobile TV service, far less than the company had wanted. The Wall Street Journal notes that Jacobs said most viewers want live events, particularly sports, delivered on the service. What didn’t work, he said, was scheduled programming of TV shows. Qualcomm is currently reviewing future strategies for its service. Mobile TV “will happen,” said Jacobs. “It’s just a question of how it’s going to happen.”
