Start-up HTML5 games company Goko has released an SDK to allow games developers to access its HTML5 development platform, as well as unveiling as a range of cross-platform social games.

Developers can build and distribute HTML5 games on the platform as well as access tools and features, including player authentication, leaderboards, testing, virtual goods and payments. The resulting games will be suitable for Facebook, Google+, Goko.com, Windows, Android and iOS.

As well as building their own games on the platform, developers can also partner with Goko to build games based on the 150 games licences the company holds.

Goko CEO Ted Griggs said the company is “turning all of the tools and services that we've created over to developers”. "Only the biggest games companies have had tools for creating and launching social games across all the big platforms. Now we're bringing that massive advantage within reach of all developers,” he added.

The new games being release by Goko include the first multiplayer version of Dominion and massively multiplayer online game Catan World. Currently available for Facebook, Google+ and Goko.com, versions for the iPad and for Android tablets will soon follow.
