Troubled semiconductor player ST-Ericsson announced plans to transfer its R&D site in Linkoping, Sweden, to IT consulting company Cybercom, stating that this company will “develop testing tool software for ST-Ericsson through June 2013”. ST-Ericsson, a joint venture of STMicroelectronics and Ericsson, this week confirmed it has appointed an external advisor, as it executes on a “strategic plan” designed to improve its performance.
