Cellnex appointed Raimon Trias as its CFO effective on 1 December, taking over from Jose Manuel Aisa, the latest turnover at the helm of infrastructure company which switched CEO in June and subsequently revealed a new organisational structure.

Its incoming finance chief joins from confectionery company Natra Group, where he currently holds the same role. Cellnex noted the executive brings extensive international experience of large industrial groups.

Current CFO Aisa will leave the company at the end of this month after nine years at the tower business, a move announced in July.

The latest change to the infrastructure player’s executive team comes at a time of major upheaval at the company.

In addition to the departure of long-time CEO Tobias Martinez earlier this year, it unveiled a shake-up of its structure last month and a source close to the company told Mobile World Live it is in the process of slashing its marketing and PR departments.

The corporate revamp includes the creation of a strategy unit and COO position, with changes part of an attempt to focus on targeting specific customer segments.

As part of the restructure it revealed deputy CEO Alex Mestre would leave at the end of the year.
