Vodafone New Zealand and Telecom New Zealand have been selected for “commercial negotiations” following their joint bid to participate in the country’s Rural Broadband Initiative. The intention is to use a mix of fixed and wireless technologies for the project, with the partners stating that “a fast start will come from building out from the investment both parties have already made in fibre, mobile and fixed line networks.”
