Vodafone has apparently told its Polish partners in operator Polkomtel that it is ready to start the sale process for the business, with the consent of all shareholders necessary to begin the disposal. Dow Jones Newswires says the approval of Vodafone means that 100 percent of the Polish mobile operator will be available, making the transaction more attractive than if Vodafone was intending to stay-on as a minority partner. Previously, Vodafone was interested in acquiring the business itself, although it has since had a change of heart in this regard.
