Vodafone has replaced the management team at Cable & Wireless Worldwide (CWW) following the completion of its £1 billion acquisition of the UK telecoms group. According to the Financial Times, senior CWW management, including chief executive Gavin Darby, will leave at the end of October after helping with the transition to the incoming team. Vodafone has appointed Nick Jeffery, CEO of Vodafone’s global enterprise unit, to head CWW. Jeffery began his career with Cable & Wireless Group in 1991 before joining Vodafone in 2004.
