SingTel Group says its mobile customer base has reached 351 million, up 34 percent year-on-year, although this figure is based on an aggregate figure that counts all of the subscribers of companies where SingTel has a stake. On a proportionate basis, in line with SingTel’s shareholdings, the number is 123.4 million. The biggest single source of subscribers is India’s Bharti Airtel, where SingTel’s 32 percent stake equates to 56.7 million customers – 11.7 million of which come from Bharti’s recently acquired African businesses.
