The GSMA’s Mobile Asia Expo, held in Shanghai last week, attracted more than 15,500 visitors from 81 countries during its three days. Attendees of the conference and exhibition included executives from operators, software companies and device makers as well as government delegations and consumers. The conference sessions were attended by more than 1,800 people, with 60 percent holding C-level positions. “The strong attendance to the first Mobile Asia Expo is indicative of the impact and importance of mobile in China and throughout Asia,” said GSMA Ltd CEO John Hoffman.
