Apple is taking steps to enhance security in its App Store following numerous cases of fraud that have taken place over the past few years, reports the New York Times. Apple support forums have revealed a spate of incidents of users’ App Store accounts being hijacked and used to purchase hundreds of dollars-worth of apps. Apple also told the New York Times that it advises customers whose payment information has been stolen to change their App Store password and contact their banks.
