Developer tools company appMobi launched a free debugging tool for mobile apps and sites using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3.

debugMobi allows developers to test apps remotely via a desktop browser using a configuration-free hosted version of open source tool Web Inspector Remote (WEINRE) – developers previously needed to configure and run their own servers to use WEINRE.   

The tool provides a remote window to the target mobile devices while apps are actually running, which developers can use to view and modify code in real time.

appMobi said HTML and JavaScript have previously been difficult to debug on mobile devices due to the closed environments of smartphone hardware and web browser software.
