Cross-platform tools company Appcelerator announced a “collaborative effort” with AT&T, intended to enable developers to build apps that integrate the US operator’s APIs.

The partnership will provide access to interfaces that can enable access to features such as speech-to-text transaction and in-app messaging.

Developers using the Titanium tools will now have access to a module that contains sample apps to make creating titles integrating the APIs “even easier”.

Appcelerator said that “the addition of AT&T APIs will further differentiate the Titanium platform, empowering Appcelerator to bring new capabilities to market faster”.

“AT&T is committed to increasing the velocity of innovation through openness and interoperability that ultimately puts great ideas to work for our customers quickly, seamlessly and everywhere,” said Carolyn Billings, AT&T Associate Vice President of Product Marketing Management.
