India’s number one operator Bharti Airtel has identified four partners to roll out TD-LTE wireless broadband in the four circles it secured in the 2010 spectrum auction, reports India’s Economic Times. It is believed Bharti will split the circles between vendors to optimise costs and take advantage of existing relationships with equipment suppliers. The Economic Times has learnt that ZTE could be offered the Kolkata circle and Huawei the Karntaka circle, with Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks likely to be offered the Punjab and Maharashtra circles respectively. Sources said that contracts are likely to be in the range of US$75 million to US$100 million.
