TeleGeography reports that Sweden’s Ericsson has won two more Asian HSPA+ deals. Taiwan’s third-largest mobile operator by subscribers, Far EasTone, has awarded the network vendor a five-year contract reportedly worth over US$100 million to provide upgrades for its 2G and 3G networks, including HSPA+ upgrades supporting theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21Mb/s. Meanwhile Macau’s Companhia de Telecomunicaces de Macau (CTM) has awarded Ericsson a three-year contract to upgrade its W-CDMA/HSPA mobile network to the HSPA+ standard.
