Apple yesterday said the product generated US$9.5 billion in revenue in the last nine months of 2010, having sold 15 million units. WiFi versions of the device were initially priced at between US$499 – US$699, while WiFi/3G versions were available at US$629 – US$829. Apple has since knocked US$100 off each model following the launch yesterday of the iPad 2.
