Norway’s Telenor has increased its stake in Unitech Wireless to more than 60 percent by investing a further INR14.93 billion (US$326 million) in the Indian mobile operator. Unitech Wireless said the latest is the third and penultimate round of investment from Telenor, which is to inject a total of INR61.20 billion for an eventual 67.25 percent stake in the joint-venture with Indian real estate company Unitech Ltd.
