US operator MetroPCS has switched on its LTE network in Detroit, its third US market to go live with the
next-generation mobile technology. Access to the network will start at US$55 per month and will be
supported by Samsung’s Craft, the world’s first commercially available LTE-enabled handset. The
operator is planning LTE launches in “additional major metropolitan areas” later this year and into early
2011.
