Portugal Telecom has succeeded in securing a three-year credit line worth EUR900 million (US$1.27 billion), which fully funds its debt repayments until the end of 2013, according to Reuters. Other Portuguese companies have recently struggled to find finance because of the country’s woes. Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, BBVA, Banco do Brasil, Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas and Citigroup were the lead arrangers on the transaction.
