On the day the new iPhone hits the US market, the Federal Communications Commission is to undertake an investigation into whether exclusive deals between network operators and device makers is anti-competitive. The Wall Street Journal quoted Julius Genachowski, the Obama administration’s nominee to head the FCC, saying he would review complaints after a Senate Committee hearing had aired the issue.
