Bloomberg reports that the California Public Utilities Commission has voted “5-to-0” in favour of opening an investigation into the planned merger of AT&T and T-Mobile USA, with the authorities in Louisiana also set to do the same. The report said that Sprint, which called for the probe, was “pleased” by the Canadian decision, and that “a thorough investigation will review the negative implications for pricing, choice and innovation.”
