LG Electronics and Microsoft announced a “free selection of quality applications” for buyers of Windows Phone 7 handsets from the South Korean vendor, with the companies “subsidising a revolving portfolio” of products. Free apps will span categories including social connectivity, gaming and “helpful utilities.”
