Japanese social gaming company DeNA signed a deal to link its Mobage China platform to the Weibo.com microblogging service, as it continues to expand its presence in China.

The deal will allow the 300 million members of Weibo.com – which is owned by Sina Corporation – to log on to Mobage China using their existing accounting details.

The companies plan to create a Mobage website under a Sina domain from where Weibo.com users with Android-based smartphones can download Mobage China games. A Mobage icon will also appear in the Weibo.com Android app, to link users to the site.

Around 50 percent of Weibo.com users access the service from mobile devices and 40 million downloads of the mobile app for the microblogging service have been made to date.

DeNA signed a similar deal in January with Chinese social network Kaixin001, which has 120 million users. It is also working with Chinese search company Baidu to integrate Mobage with the Yi mobile app store.

Mobage China was launched for Android in July 2011 and for iOS in November and currently has around 30 titles.
