Japanese social gaming company DeNA has teamed up with Chinese search company Baidu to integrate its Mobage platform with the Yi mobile app store. The app store is preloaded onto smartphones running Baidu’s Android-based Yi mobile platform.

The Yi Store will have a dedicated section for Mobage titles, enabling users to access Chinese versions of mobile games for Android.

Baidu Yi incorporates Baidu’s intelligent search box, cloud services and original apps. The first smartphone to use the Baidu Yi platform was the Dell Streak Pro D43, which was launched on 13 January.

The Baidu search service has more than 83 percent market share by query in China, according to the search company.

DeNA launched Mobage China for Android in July and iOS in November 2011. The company made other recent efforts to build its position in China including a joint venture with Chinese game developer Netdragon and a partnership with Chinese social network Kaixin001.
