AT&T will support the Axeda Application Development Platform, to help developers create M2M apps which communicate between mobile devices, computers and other machines, such as electric meters, e-readers, heart monitors and vehicles. These types of apps are generating an increasing amount of interest according to AT&T, but remain time-consuming and expensive to make. Axeda‘s platform provides an environment to build and manage apps for almost any type of connected device, while AT&T will also provide development services and expertise from its professional services team.
