Everything Everywhere, the UK mobile operator created from the merger of T-Mobile UK and Orange UK, is set to enable customers of one network to roam onto the infrastructure of the other, effective from 5 October 2010, at no extra cost. In the first stage, should a customer lose signal on their existing network, the handset will be able to switch-over to the other automatically; from next year, calls will switch to whichever of the networks has the strongest signal mid-call.
