South Korea’s KT saw its net income drop 30 percent in the second quarter as revenues were flat, reports TelecomPaper. Operating revenues rose only 0.7 percent to KRW3.03 trillion (US$3 billion), while EBITDA fell 1 percent to KRW861.5 billion from KRW873.3 billion in the year-earlier quarter. The company’s mobile unit KT Freetel (KTF) swung to a net loss on increased marketing costs.
