Reuters reported that ZTE has won a contract to supply 3G network infrastructure to Indian operator Reliance Communications, following an earlier bar by the country’s regulators on equipment from overseas vendors. Reliance is not the first Indian operator to partner with a Chinese supplier: Tata Teleservices is working with Huawei in five out of its nine licence regions.
