Start-up Yota Devices inked a partnership with Gulf distributor Jumbo Electronics, to offer its “dual-screen, always-on” smartphone to customers in the region.

The device, which has been adapted to offer an Arabic interface, will be available in markets including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saud Arabia and UAE. A price of AED2,199 ($599) has been given.

In the UAE, the device will also be made available by operator Etisalat, who will offer it with subsidies.

YotaPhone is being sold in Austria, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Russia and the UK. During the following months, it will be available in 20 markets across CIS, Europe and the Middle East.

YotaDevices unveiled its latest YotaPhone at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, which is set to go on sale toward the end of this year.

At this time, Vlad Martynov, CEO of the company, said that 12,000 units of the first YotaPhone were shifted during its first month of sale, driven by its home market of Russia.
