Japan’s second largest telecoms group KDDI Corp is looking to deploy a Wi-Fi network with more than 100,000 hotspots, IDG News reports. The new hotspots will allow smartphone users to connect seamlessly for data-based services, in the process offloading traffic from the operator’s mobile network.
