Cloud-based app security testing provider Veracode has updated its platform to support new flaw categories for Android applications. The company has seen increasing requests for Android support and so has expanded its scanning capabilities to include the platform. Flaws that the technology will flag include Android apps attempting to modify proxy settings, creating inbound SMS listeners or changing settings in ways that would allow other apps to read or alter them.
