Bangladesh’s fourth largest mobile operator, Warid Telecom, needs an investment partner to implement the next phase of its expansion, its CEO Muneer Farooqui told local paper the Daily Star, reports TeleGeography. Since launching in May 2007, Warid has invested US$600 million and signed up around 2.5 million subscribers, but now, according to Farooqui, “a huge investment is required to take operations to [the] next level.”
