LG has unveiled a 4.3-inch 3D display for mobile devices at CES that can be used without the need for special glasses. The display has a WVGA touchscreen, a 480×800 pixel resolution and makes use of “applied parallax barrier technology,” which delivers a series of light-blocking slits attached to the front of the LCD panel. The purpose of the slits is to ensure that the left and right eyes see differing images, so giving the impression of depth and the 3D effect.
