AP News notes that Singapore-based contract electronics manufacturer Flextronics plunged to a loss in its fiscal first quarter on restructuring and other charges, but adjusted results still beat expectations. The company says that for the quarter ended 3 July it lost US$154 million compared with a year-ago profit of US$130 million. Excluding one-time items, adjusted profit totalled US$63 million. Revenue fell 31 percent to US$5.78 billion from US$8.35 billion a year ago.
