Cellular News notes that Israel-based WiMAX vendor Alvarion has reported a 16.5 percent drop in its second quarter revenues of US$49 million, compared to US$58.7 million a year ago. The net loss was US$10.6 million, including restructuring and other charges of approximately US$3.6 million related mainly to employee termination expenses and vacating office space. This compares to a net loss of US$4 million a year ago.
