Mobile entertainment apps publisher Ozura World announced its acquisition of Tatto Media, a mobile and internet advertising network, for US$60 million. The company said that the deal “will significantly strengthen our ability to connect advertisers to consumers worldwide,” and represents “a tremendous opportunity for us to support vertical mobile content providers and present advertisers with an effective platform for reaching their well-qualified, targeted audiences.”

Ozura says that its core focus is the development of mobile games for the Java platform, stating that its FunlogiX game engine has enabled it to “allow interactivity amongst gamers thus creating a community based gaming environment.” It also publishes entertainment apps created by external developers, also offering the ability for third parties to design games based on FunlogiX. The company said its catalogue of mobile games features “well known brands” such as The Duel Online, Battle Of Knights, Kung Fu Fighters, Ghost Hunter RPG, 2188 Space Wars, Desert Rider, World Soccer 2006, WWD, Big 2 Babes, Sexy Cards and Oriental Vegas Jackpot.

Earlier this month, Ozura World announced an update to its Mobeep mobile application store to include Chinese language support. It said that this was intended to “enhance Chinese reading mobile users’ experience with Mobeep.” The company also said there will be more language options for the store in the future. Mobeep launched in February 2011 with “over 500 free handpicked mobile apps.”
