Investment fund Harbinger Capital Partners halved its holding in satellite communications player Inmarsat, following a confirmation from the company that it was mulling its options for a disposal. The company now holds around 14 percent of Inmarsat, having sold a 13 percent stake for £410 million – it was previously reported that Harbinger may look to acquire control of the business. In a statement, Harbinger said that it would look to maintain the partnership between Inmarsat and its LightSquared unit, which is building an wholesale LTE network in the US.
