Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) said yesterday that India’s requirement for telecommunication gear suppliers to submit software and hardware code used in their equipment into an escrow account isn’t “feasible to implement,” reports Dow Jones Newswires. The comments come after rival Ericsson last week cited similar motivations for not bidding for state-run BSNL’s INR20 billion (US$450 million) equipment order. NSN has, however, put it in its bid for the contract.
