Ericsson and Telecom Italia are trialling a new solar-powered site development. The Eco-Smart solution, based on flexible solar panels, claims to generate up to 100 percent of the energy required to power a site in the same land space as a traditional site. The trial is being carried out in the Italian city of L’Aquila.
