HTC countered claims that it had reshuffled its management again, stating that it is “still looking for the suitable candidate for the CFO position”.

It was reported earlier this week that Chialin Chang, incumbent CFO, had handed over his responsibilities in order to focus on his role as global sales head, which he took on late last year.

“HTC will make an official announcement once the company confirms the candidate and such candidate is approved by board of directors,” it said.

It had been said that Edward Wang, associate VP of finance and accounting, had taken on the acting CFO role.

HTC has seen a number of executive changes in recent months, with reports this week that it is set to part company with design head Scott Croyle.
