Ericsson beefed up its leadership team in India by moving three senior executives to the country, reports Economic Times (ET).

The move, the publication said, mirrors changes in its organisation structure, with sources claiming the company’s head of Latam and Caribbean region Jose Luis has now moved to India as VP and head of network services.

Meanwhile, Ewok Nelson, who was in charge of the company’s consulting and systems integration business in the Middle East, has been named as India’s head of IT and cloud business. And David Hagerbro will take over as VP and customer unit head of its service provider vertical at Ericsson India, overseeing key service provider accounts in the north of the country, along with telecoms companies in Bhutan and Nepal.

Nitin Bansal, who was in the role before Hagerbro, will now head up the company’s network products business unit.

Ericsson’s India region head Paolo Colella reportedly said the additions “will strengthen the India team and accelerate our growth strategy in the country”.

An official statement confirming the appointments has however not been released by the company.

Earlier this year, the Swedish network vendor unveiled a management reorganisation, designed to create better accountability internally under five global business units – network services, network products, IT & cloud products, IT & cloud services and media.

The introduction of the new leadership positions comes as Ericsson India steps up on three of the units, network services, network products and IT & cloud, designed to capture opportunities in 3G and 4G, added ET.
