Bangladesh’s telecoms regulator has sold a tranch of additional spectrum for US$204 million to the country’s three incumbent operators to help them support their growing subscriber base, reports Cellular News. Grameenphone, Banglalink and Aktel bought 7.5MHz, 5MHz and 5MHz of spectrum, respectively, giving them totals of 21.9MHz, 17.5MHz and 17.8MHz, respectively.
