GSMA launches smarter apps guidelines online

LIVE FROM GSMA MOBILE ASIA EXPO 2013: The GSMA’s Smarter Apps Guidelines have been updated and are now available online.

The interactive user-generated pages are the work of developers and support app development across all the major platforms.

The guidelines cover a number of areas around app development including connectivity, power consumption, network reliability and security. By following these guidelines developers can create network-friendly apps and mobile operators will see a reduced strain on their networks. For their part, users will experience more responsive and reliable apps and improved battery life.

Partners for the new pages are Smart, KT, SKT, China Mobile, Vision Mobile and the App Quality Alliance (AQuA).
