Japanese operator KDDI has invested US$5 million in education apps maker Fuhu, the company’s chief strategy officer Kazuhiko Masuda told FierceMobileContent. The investment is the first to come from KDDI’s Open Innovation Fund, which has US$60 million to invest in Silicon Valley tech companies. The company plans to bring Fuhu titles to the Japanese market, according to Masuda.
