Nubia, the self-proclaimed “high-end Android smartphone manufacturer”, is taking its flagship Z9 smartphone to the US, with availability through “select retailers and online” and pricing from $564.

The company, which is the boutique brand of ZTE, describes the device as “virtually borderless”. It is also said to have “easier Android smartphone controls for a superior user experience with reduced steps to accomplish a task”.

Other features include a 16MP main camera with image stabilisation.

The smartphone will be available in the US market from the third quarter of 2015.

Last month, Nubia became the latest player to look to bolster its position in the competitive Indian market, with its Z9 Mini device.
