Wireless Business Solutions (WBS), the South Africa-based holding company of the iBurst and Broadlink WiMAX networks, plans to roll out an LTE network by the middle of 2012, reports Cellular News. WBS said it could potentially employ spectrum sharing and work with partners for the LTE deployment, with the new network reducing 3G congestion. The LTE deployment should start this month with the first phase seeing the building of 2,500 base stations, and the first commercial services available in the second half of 2012.
